Education and work experience:

Doctor Karolina Wawiernia is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Białystok (2006). Since 2006, she has been working at the Clinical Department of General, Oncological, and Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education (CMKP) in Warsaw (Prof. Witold Orłowski Memorial Hospital). She is an experienced Specialist in General Surgery and a certified upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopist. She heads the Department of Endoscopy and Functional Gastrointestinal Diagnostics at the Orłowski Hospital.

On a daily basis, she diagnoses and treats surgical conditions (including diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy), with a particular focus on— coloproctological diseases (including hemorrhoidal disease, anal fissures, polyps, anal and anorectal fistulas, and pruritus ani). In her practice, she successfully utilizes both conservative and surgical approaches, including a full spectrum of minimally invasive techniques.
