Varicose veins of the intimate area They are most commonly located in the vulva and posterior perineum in women. Like varicose veins on the legs, they are only a symptom of the disease and not the initial problem. For this reason, the search for the cause of their occurrence should always be pursued. Varicose veins in the vulva or perineum are most often noticed by ladies in their 2nd or 3rd pregnancy. In subsequent pregnancies, it is usually already an established and quite advanced phenomenon. The treatment of varicose veins of the intimate area cannot consist in simply closing them, e.g. using sclerotherapy. Such an approach to treatment is just as ineffective as treating varicose veins with sclerotherapy on the legs.
