Yes, the surgical consultation itself, in most cases, does not affect the Patient's daily functioning. Can a minor skin lesion be removed during a single visit? Minor dermatological surgery procedures, involving the removal of skin lesions under local anesthesia, are in most cases performed after a prior appointment for the procedure. Before the procedure is performed by a general surgeon, a specialist qualifying consultation is necessary for the Patient to undergo the given procedure. Do I need a referral for a surgical consultation? No, a surgical consultation at the Phlebology Clinic does not require a special referral. You can schedule a surgical consultation directly through the Phlebology Clinic Reception. All our services are entirely private. We do not offer services under the National Health Fund (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia - NFZ). Do I need to undergo any tests before a general surgeon consultation? It is usually not necessary before the first consultation. The surgeon will decide on the need for additional tests during the consultation. How often should legs be checked after a varicose vein removal procedure under local anesthesia? Typically, the first post-operative check-up takes place on the second day after the procedure (at that time, we examine the leg after removing the bandage and dressings). The date of the next visit is always determined individually. How long does the first visit to a general surgeon last? The first surgical consultation lasts approximately 20-30 minutes. This allows for a thorough collection of medical history and the performance of a physical or ultrasound examination. The duration of the visit always depends on the complexity of the issues the Patient presents. Therefore, we always ask for timely arrival for consultations and patience in case of delays on our part. Dr Venus: virtual patient counsellor Looking for an answer to your vein question?
